Wednesday mornings at the Annex classroom, Christian Reformed Church, 5033 Roger St, Port Alberni. Evening classes are coming soon.
Online Classes
Thursday afternoons on Zoom. You can join from home.
Who Can Join
Everyone. Beginners and intermediate learners. Workers, students, visitors, refugee claimants, and citizens. We will not ask about your immigration status.
One-on-One Tutoring
We can match you with a volunteer tutor. You set the goals: work English, reading, writing, or conversation.

Yes. Classes and tutoring cost nothing. Our volunteers and community funding make it possible.
Do I need to be a permanent resident?
No. Everyone is welcome. We will never ask about your immigration status.
What if my English is very low?
That is okay. We teach absolute beginners. You can bring a friend or family member to your first visit.
What is a CLB level?
CLB means Canadian Language Benchmarks. Government programs use it to place students. You do not need to know your level to join us, and there is no placement test.
Do I need to sign up first?
Just call, text, or message us before your first class so we can welcome you. There is no form.
Can I start any time?
Yes. You can join in any month. Classes run through the year.
