Free, confidential wellness centre for young people aged 12–24. Offers in-person mental health and substance use counselling, peer support, physical and sexual healthcare, and youth programs. ADAPS Youth and Family Services

Port Alberni nonprofit providing free counselling, substance use support, harm reduction services, and youth programming for people aged 12–24 and their families. PA Friendship Center — Childcare

Treasure Our Young Ones Childcare Centre, offering childcare and out-of-school care with a Nuu-chah-nulth language and cultural immersion component. Serves children 3–5 and infants/toddlers (waitlist). Childcare subsidies available. Hours: 7:45am–5pm. Phone: 250-723-8281 ext. 270.

Alberni Valley Community Food Bank

Free food hampers for Alberni Valley residents, by appointment. Call 250-723-6913 to book. Bring ID and proof of address for all household members. Open Tuesday–Thursday, 11am–3pm. Hampers are provided on a five-week rotation. Supplementary bread and produce are also available in the lobby Monday–Friday on a drop-in basis while supplies last.

Bread of Life Centre

Free daily meals and social support for anyone in Port Alberni who needs them — including people experiencing homelessness, seniors, families, and anyone who wants to connect with their community. Serves 200+ guests a day. Breakfast 9–10:30am, lunch 12–1:30pm, dinner 5–6:30pm, seven days a week. Personal hygiene items available on request. Located at 3130 3rd Ave, Port Alberni. Nonprofit supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families in Port Alberni for over 65 years.
