Which Science Does Your Child Need Next?
Every BC student needs Science 10 and a Science 11 or 12 to graduate. For many programs after high school, which science they take matters more than the credit.
UVic's engineering program asks for Chemistry 11 and Physics 11. VIU's nursing degree lists Chemistry 11 and Biology 12 at C+ or better; ask VIU which current Grade 12 biology course it accepts.
Science courses lean on math, so a student struggling in Physics 11 may need math tutoring in Port Alberni as well.
